Product Review: Lancome Blanc Expert Melanolyser Whiteness Activating Spot Eraser

Inspired by the autophagy process, the first Lancome's revolutionary serum to boost skin's inner whitening capacities.

Tested on Asian skin and under dermatological control.  Suitable for sensitive skin.

I bought this from the China Airlines' Sky Boutique back in September of 2011 and finished it all up just this morning.  Let me say that the claims of this product are to help reduce age/sun spots by inhibiting the glands/cellular structures that produce melanin.  Over time it's supposed to help even out your skin tone and promote whitening.

I have to admit that I had high hopes for this lotion but ended up disappointed in the results.

I'd post up a picture of myself right now, but I'm kinda embarrassed by my acne breakout.  Suffice it to say, after the whole tube, I haven't noticed any change at all, and this is using the Blanc Expert Melanolyser night and day!

In the first few weeks of using it, I didn't see any changes to my sun/age spots.  But I did notice that the skin around the center of my face seemed more radiant.  While my initial pleasure at the radiance has carried me through the entire tube, I do have to admit that this product failed - on my skin, at least - to reduce the sun/age spots, which was the entire purpose of the purchase!

I won't be repurchasing this!  I'm very disappointed with the results for the bucks that I spent.

Part of my New Year's Resolution is to use up my skincare products that I currently have.  When I think about it, I must have more than $600 in lotions, creams, serums, and gels in my cabinet.  I've noticed that out of my family and even with Mr. P, I use more skincare products but I have worse skin.  My brother, dad, and Mr. P don't use anything and their skin condition is great.  So, there has got to be a reason behind that.  I think I'm going to try to make the commitment toward organic DIY skincare and see how that works.  When I did it before in Dallas, my skin didn't seem as bad as it is now.  Hopefully something good will come of it!

Romantic Eyes

This is a romantic look using pink and purple from Lancome's Glamour on the Go travel palette.  The quality of the shadows in the palette is excellent.  The texture is silky, they go on smoothly and blend so easily.  The shadows are also superbly pigmented even without the aid of primers.

I bought this palette from China Airlines' duty free shopping magazine.  One of the main selling points was that the colors were deliberately chosen for the Asian market.  The other selling point was that except for a base face powder foundation, this palette has everything I need to get a full face.  The palette has 4 beautiful eye shadows, a blush, and 2 lipsticks all packaged in a compact palette that looks like a luggage tag.

Anyways, this is a look that I enjoy putting together for romantic dates with Mr. P.  I hope you enjoy this video and thanks for watching and reading!  ^_^

Battle Mascara: NYX Doll Eye Waterproof vs Lancome Definicils High Def

Battle Mascara!  I'm on a quest to find the perfect mascara that will deal with length, volume, curl, and smudginess.

Here are some of my pictures.  The lighting isn't the very best, so I apologize in advance.  I took the pictures after a long work day just to have pictures.  My opinions expressed in my cloud bubble battle were formed over time.  Oh, maybe this is important: I usually just put 1 coat of mascara on and didn't feel like deviating from the norm for these pictures.

LANCOME
Doesn't smudge, but that's about it.

Already lost a lot of the curl

Lashes don't seem lengthened

Lancome mascara looks knobby on my lashes

NYX
Volumizes and lengthens a little, doesn't smudge, but loses curl.

One coat, lashes don't look super impressive.

Lost 60% of curl.

Curled + mascara vs uncurled..... big difference?  I can't tell

I suppose for reference, here are some pictures of my lashes without mascara:
Uncurled lashes

Opening eyes really wide after curling

Curled lashes, opening my eyes like normal

More Battle Mascaras to come.  Just let me get through these 2 tubes...

CL2425's Nana inspired eyes / Lancome Glamour on the Go

...mmmm...  The formatting for this blog is totally off.  I dunno how to fix it!

I'm always on the lookout for new ways to dress up my monolid eyes.  My eyes are such that I often think lining the upper lash line, or tight lining, or mascara is futile at best.  Sometimes, I trick myself into believing there is a difference.  :-P
