Finished! December Products

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year!  Mr. P and I celebrated a very quiet Christmas with a second Thanksgiving feast with family and friends.  I got to meet my brother's girlfriend and I so hope she becomes my sister-in-law!  *fingers crossed!*

Okay, back to business.  :-)  I finished TWO products this month.

Tony Moly Eggpore Blackhead Out Oil Gel

I already did a product review on this product, which you can read about here.  Anyways, long story short, this product failed to remove or reduce any of my blackheads without extra help from other products.  What I discovered was that this product works really well as a makeup remover and massage oil.  It smelled like oranges, too.

Bioderma Crealine H2O Makeup Remover

Linh from Blushology sent me a sample of her favorite makeup remover a while back.  And the product did not disappoint.  This has been one of the best makeup removers I've ever used and it never irritated my eyes!  I think I'm just going to have to use this from now on!

That's it.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful New Year!

Battle Mascara 9: CoverGirl Lash Exact Waterproof Mascara

Hi Everyone!

I'm here with a Battle Mascara for this new CoverGirl Lash Exact waterproof mascara I bought a couple of weeks ago.  I've used it enough to have a good idea of what works and what doesn't work.

Behold, the before picture:

And now, the after picture:

Here are the product details:

So far, I'm loving this type of rubber bristle wand.  The bristles are short enough and spaced just right to deposit a good amount of mascara onto my lashes without clumps of product and space out my lashes.

Curl:  A+
Lash Exact is great at holding a curl!  It lasts all day and even through a workout at the gym!

Length:  B
I don't think this mascara adds much to the length of my lashes as some other mascaras have.... *ahem* Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus.

Volume:  A+
This is one of the better mascaras I've used that gives better-than-adequate results on volume.

Smudging:  C-
Even with primer and powder, this mascara does smudge after a few hours.  I usually have to touch up and wipe my under eye area by 4pm on a normal work day.

Clumping: A+
Clumping is just not a factor with this mascara.  The wand is perfect for getting just the right amount of product.

Overall, I like this mascara.  It delivers in all the areas that are my top priority such as curl and volume.  I can live with the smudging because it just requires some maintenance during the day.

I think this mascara would be perfect for ladies with long lashes and defined double eyelids.

Has anyone else tried this mascara?  I'd love to know what you thought of this mascara, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

New Mascara! CoverGirl LashExact Waterproof Mascara

It seems I just can't go wrong with CoverGirl!  I have a new mascara to be all excited about.  :-)  Will post a Battle Mascara on this one soon.  What number am I on, now??

New Cleansing Products!

Hi Everyone!

Wow!  I can't believe it's already December!  I can definitely admit that 2012 has been a year filled with surprises, joy, and love.  I hope 2013 is just as great!

I've decided to post this entry as an answer to Linh's question on what my new cleansing products are.

Linh introduced me to Bioderma a few months ago.  At the time, I was using an oil based Maybelline makeup remover so I just poured the Crealine H2O into a mason jar and stuck it in my fridge for a few months.  After a while, I just lost hope that I would ever finish that Maybelline makeup remover and picked up the Bioderma to add some spice to my cleansing routine.

WOW!  I can honestly say that I am super duper impressed by this one.  I use it to remove eye makeup.  It removes everything very easily except for waterproof mascara, which I'm okay with because mascara that removes too easily usually are raccooners.  One of the neatest things about Bioderma Crealine H2O is that it doesn't sting, irritate my eyes, or leave behind that greasy feeling after use.  Even better, cold Crealine H2O acts as a great and refreshing cold compress when I'm ready to take off my makeup at the end of the day.

I just pulled out this Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser because it was just sitting around and not getting enough love.  I haven't used this enough to develop much of an opinion.  So far it cleanses all right.  Used with my Clarisonic Mia2, it leaves my skin feeling really soft, smooth, and clean.

The Clarisonic Mia2 is a love/hate thing.  I love how it works to cleanse my skin.  I hate the automatic 20-20-10-10 second timer.  I always feel rushed because of the timer.

I LOVE THIS!  I LOVE THIS!  I LOVE THIS!

I originally wanted to get the cleanser for brightening skin but am happy with this one for aging skin.  It says to use this at night to remove makeup and cleanse skin.  Truthfully, I use this morning and night because

1) it smells SO.  DARNED.  GOOD!
2) it leaves my skin looking and feeling younger, brighter, and luminous like porcelain.
3) I like to remove this cleanser with a hot face towel and my face towel smells like the spa!
4) no adverse reactions like dry skin or rashes or acne.

Not pictured here is my go-to Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash, which I always use whenever I feel like my other cleansers might have missed something.

That's it for this post on cleansers I use for my skincare.   I will probably post a product review on the Jurlique cleanser later on.

Good luck to my ladies still in school!  Have a safe, healthy, and wonderful holiday season!

:-)

Finished! November

Hi Everyone,

I feel like I just woke up after a long sleep that lasted the last couple of weeks.  It took a while, but with the help of my family, Mr. P, and wonderful friends like Linh (Blushology), I've started to "wake up" from this sleep.  I really thank my friends who helped me through this time and Mr. P for muscling through it with me.

Even though I was on autopilot for the month of November, I still managed to finish some things.

I've talked about my need to alternate skincare products between fancy (multiple ingredients) and simple (as few ingredients as possible).  I LOVE Dickinson's Witch Hazel because it's natural and it only has 1 ingredient in it.  It's a natural and gentle astringent and is incredibly cooling when I spray it on my skin.  Also, witch hazel on a cotton pad will catch a lot of residual makeup and leave clean skin behind.

Autumn finally arrived and thankfully brought cooler weather to Southern California.  As a result, my skin needed extra moisture.  I really love using Aura Cacia's jojoba oil right after a shower.  I just squeeze a teaspoon amount of oil into my palms, rub them together, and start massaging it into my skin all over my body.  A little goes a long way.  It absorbs into my skin without leaving a sticky feeling, oily feeling, or that "little grime in my finger print ridges."

I also managed to finally finish the Mentholaturm Acnes Medicated Clear & Whitening Wash.  I filled mine up with a little bit of water and shook it up for some really great foam cleanser for its last leg.  I really like this Mentholatum product but I was getting antsy to finish it because I wanted to try something new.  :-)

That's it for my November's Finished!  I feel like every day I'm waking up all over again.  It's a beautiful day!

Product Review: T & J Pure & Natural Acne Control Cream

Hi Everyone,

This is a long awaited T&J Pure & Natural Acne Control Cream product review.  I bought this on the recommendation of my aesthetician back in August for a whopping $40+!  Luckily, I don't need to use a lot of it so I still have a good amount left.  I'm going to begin the product review right now.

Claims to:
1.  Help control and stabilize the sensitivity, puffiness of the epidermis.
2.  Improve the appearance of acne scars.

Help control and stabilize the sensitivity, puffiness of the epidermis
Yes to all.  I personally think this works maybe a day or two slower than benzoyl peroxide to calm down an inflamed bump and to reduce the swelling.  So, if you're looking for speed this product won't be the fastest.  However, I would choose this over BP because this does not dry out the skin.  I don't know about the rest of the population but whenever I use BP, it makes my skin so dry and flaky with microscopic cracks in my skin that makes the entire area sting like tiny papercuts.

Improve the appearance of acne scars
Ehhh... I think it's 50-50.  If I catch a bump early enough, this cream can make the whole thing go away as if it was never there.  However, if the pimple had a day to grow before I apply any of this cream, it take 4-5 days to go away and I do get left with a faded spot.  I'm happy enough that it never went through the angry red spot look but still... it's not going to make everything magically disappear.

Other notes:

  • It smells like medicine.
  • It's best used as the instructions say - with a cotton tip, not your fingers
  • It temporarily (1-2 days) whitens the skin wherever it is applied.  I have a natural flush in my cheeks and if I applied this on my cheeks in a cross-shaped pattern, my cheeks would have a cross-shaped white area on it even after being washed off, something to keep in mind for a day when I want to whiten my skin.  ;-P
  • It is undetectable if you want to apply a thin layer under your makeup routine, which is pretty good to treat and cover at the same time.

Would I repurchase this?
Yes!  I really really really appreciate it not drying out my skin, not creating flakes, and not making my skin so tight and dry that any movement would microscopically crack my skin.  That whitening secret is good to have on hand for that super duper special occasion.

Well, thanks for waiting for this product review, and thanks for reading this far!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, Everyone!  Don't go too crazy in Black Friday lines!  :-)

Battle Mascara 8: Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara

Above:  Lashes curled, no mascara.

Above:  Mascara freshly applied.  Left: no primer.  Right: with Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer.

Above: After a day of work (9 hours).  Left: no primer.  Right: with primer.

Top left: lashes curled, no mascara.  Top right: with mascara.
Bottom left: Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara.  Bottom right: Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Comments:  The wand reminds me of a combination of the NYX Doll Eye and the Fairydrops Scandal Queen mascara wands.  I'm not sure if regular fiber bristles are the best for my lashes.  The density of fiber bristles keep my lashes on top of the bristles rather than let my lashes get into the bristles for a nice all-around coat of mascara.  For me, rubber bristles and lash comb styled mascara wands have worked better.

I don't think that I would spend money on this mascara.  It seems that the 2 high-end mascaras I've tried haven't given me the results that some of the cheaper drugstore mascaras have.

As always, these are my opinions based on how the mascara works on my lashes, so always remember the following:  Use what best works for you!  :-)

Thanks for reading!

Facials at Ann Karen Spa - August (Belated Updates)

Hi All!

Sorry that I've been slacking on my postings.  I've been busy with work and preparing for an upcoming trip to Taiwan.  Part of that preparation is going to the spa to get facials to, as my mom says, "Get rid of your pimples and smooth out your skin for makeup."  Yes....  It's a huge event that Mr. P and I are looking forward to.  :-)

Anyways, my esthetician Tiffany has done all of my facials since I started going there this month.  The first facial I did was the Whitening Facial.  Tiffany did a great job, but she also recommended that my next facial be the Acne Facial because my chin was so bumpy.  She was saying that it would look and feel so much better to get rid of the acne there before continuing with the whitening program because otherwise my skin would get brighter and my acne and spots would look darker.  I imagined "polk-a-dot skin".

So, the 2nd weekend, we did the Acne Facial, which is the top picture of me.  Let me tell you... it was so painful!  My blackheads on my chin were so difficult to get out and it hurt so much that I couldn't stop my eyes from tearing up.  Tiffany was as gentle as she could be and complimented me on being so brave.  My face was spotty and a little inflamed for the next day or two, but then it started to heal.  She recommended that I purchase an acne cream from the front desk.  At first I thought she was trying to upsell me, which is probably very true, but as this event that's coming up is super important, I didn't want to risk it.  Let me tell you, I think this was one of the best recommendations I've ever followed!  I'll post on the acne cream later.

The 3rd weekend, we did the Whitening Facial, which is the bottom picture.  You can see how my acne scars have lessened and how much brighter my face is.  I know that Tiffany used a Jurlique cleanser on my face at the beginning of the facial.  I don't know what other products were used but I really like that these facials are working to brighten my skin.  Even Mr. P noticed!

Since my last facial appointment, I've been in amazement at how smooth my skin is!  I no longer have all those bumps on my chin from blackheads that lived under the skin in really tight pores.  Additionally, my cystic acne has also lessened.  Tiffany told me how my type of cystic acne was the inflamed type that accompanies improper blackhead extractions.  She said that blackheads have a head and a root.  People usually make the mistake of popping out a blackhead head and neglect to get the root out, which is why they (meaning, I) get reoccurring blackheads (or worse) in the same spots.  She also said that if I pop a whitehead and there's blood (gross, I know, but this is real life), I have to keep squeezing until all the blood runs out because that blood surrounding the whitehead is toxic and will cause hyperpigmentation.  I'm convinced now that I cannot pop another blackhead or pimple without Tiffany.

I have one more facial to go to this weekend.  Mr. P okayed me to go a 5th weekend right before we head out, so I'll update this post with those results as well.  I think I'll put the pictures right [here], cuz I want to get into other stuff about Ann Karen Spa right now.

******************************************************************************
UPDATE: 10/18/2012

Here are the pictures of my skin's improvement after the 3rd and 4th whitening facial sessions.  Currently, I'm changing my program to the Hydra-Serum Facial, which is supposed to reverse aging.  I'll do a separate post on that one!

I had definitely stopped wearing any foundation or powder by this time.  Only makeup on me are brows, eyes and lips.

Post acne marks are significantly faded, skin was a smoother canvas for my Engagement Ceremony.  Any spots left over from acne were easily covered by makeup.  My makeup artist didn't even have to use concealer.  Whoo hoo!!

**************************************************************************

Ann Karen Spa has over 30 treatment rooms over a 14,000 square foot space.  The women's changing room has a hot tub with mineral infused water, a steam sauna, and a dry sauna.  I don't know what the men's changing room has.  There is a special co-ed hot room that I love!  The room is heated through the floor.  You can have their special tea, watch some TV, or read a couple of magazines there while you wait for your treatment.  They also have a yellow soil hot room, and a Himalayan salt crystal hot room.  They call these the rooms where you can detox your skin.  It's uber-luxurious.

Ann Karen Spa Services
In addition to the saunas, Ann Karen Spa services also include a variety of facials lasting between 75 to 90 minutes, and body massages.  I haven't tried the massages yet and don't know if I want to skip a facial for a massage.  LOL.

Ann Karen Spa Cost
Ann Karen is definitely not cheap.  There are other spas nearby that offer facials for $30-$50 for about 60-75 minutes.  However, I believe Ann Karen Spa's service is top notch.  Additionally, you get to use Ann Karen's facilities (hot rooms, saunas, and showers for me!) for as long as you want on the day of your appointment.  The first 4 facial appointment I bought set me back nearly $400, and that's with new client discounts applied.  That does not include gratuity.  You can look up the price menu on the website.

Other things I like about Ann Karen Spa:
It's always clean.  The attendants in the women's changing rooms make sure that everything is wiped down after use, that all the robes and towels go in the hamper, and they give you their special tea or water after your treatment.

I honestly look forward to each of my visits at Ann Karen Spa, but I also can't afford to go every weekend.  I wish I could!  I think I'll have to be okay with going every other weekend or something like that to stretch my money.

This is my expensive pleasure.  ^_^  What's yours?

Thanks for stopping by and be on the lookout for my weekend 4 and 5 facial updates!

New China Airlines Collection and New Skincare Routine

Hi All,

Sorry for the long lapse in time between posts.  I have a lot going on in my life right now and I'm trying to work through all that other stuff.

Well, I promised you that I would eventually post on the beauty products I got on my latest trip to Asia.  I like to call these my China Airlines new buys because I buy them during the flight.  I mean, there's nothing to do for 11-13 hours, and you pick up the Sky Boutique Magazine... and then... you're a couple hundred bucks lighter.  But I was good, I only bought 4 items.  Here are the 2 Kate Lorraine products I got.

Kate Lorraine Placenta Serum is supposed to help your skin's suppleness and elasticity through collagen, placenta, and vitamins.

Kate Lorraine Collagen Vitamin Cream is supposed to help your skin maintain its moisture levels through collagen, elastin, vitamins, and placenta.

So far, I like these two products.  They actually do work very well together as an anti aging skincare program.  When I used it (for 3 weeks following our return to the States), I felt as if my skin was becoming younger, brighter, softer, and more bouncy, or as the Taiwanese like to call it, "QQ."  These did not make me break out either.

The reason why I stopped was that I was getting bothered by the "placenta" ingredient in the products.  Placenta is a tissue that is part of the whole baby and birth process.  It's really big in Asia and touted as a miracle ingredient in anti-aging skincare.  Anyways, it got to a point where I felt like I was going to go to hell for using these products so I just stopped.  The placenta ingredient in these products are bovine, but still, that didn't really make me feel better.

Now, I have two really potent skincare products sitting on my shelf.  I don't know what I'm going to do with them.

So that leads me to my current skincare routine.

Yep, I am only and just using these two products.  I use the Sisley Ecological Compound day and night, and the Diorsnow UV Shield in the mornings.  I don't wear foundation or powder anymore, and I feel so liberated!  My skin isn't perfect, but I love how free my skin feels!  It can breathe and I haven't had any breakouts either.

I dunno.  Maybe I'll pick up the ole foundation and powder again and be astonished by the magic it can do for my face, but for right now I'm pretty content.  ^_^

I hope you all are having a great day, week, and month.  I will reply to your comments soon!  And thank you again for reading, and commenting!

Taiwan Trip *Special Post!*

Hi Everyone!

Sooo, I hope everyone is doing great!  I am glowing!  Only because things are changing for me so quickly, and I'll show you why in a brief moment!

I promised you all that I would post on my new China Airlines skincare products and routine but I can't remember where I put my iPad....  It's not lost, I just can't find it for now.  So, that post, which I wanted to come before this post for sure, will just have to come later.

I also wanted to have one more travel post of Mr. P and me in Taiwan before this special post, but we haven't even begun sorting through our plethora of pictures.  Dealing with jet lag and everything that's been going on in the one week we've been back has just made everything busier!

But I just can't hold back anymore!  Here's the happy news!

Mr. P and I are officially engaged!  And by "officially," I mean in the Taiwanese tradition where we went through the Engagement Ceremony!

Walking into my parents' house where the Ceremony was held.

The Ceremony with our relatives and the Mistress of Ceremony.

So now, below, are a few pictures we took at Maya Studios in Taiwan.  They are so professional, and my makeup artist did such a fantastic job with my overall look that I secretly want to bring her to America to make me look this great everyday!  *fantasy, fantasy!*

My relatives said I looked like Coco Lee.  I personally don't see it, but hey!  A compliment is a compliment, so I'll take it!  LOL!

Everything happened so quickly and we were brought from place to place that it seems like a blur.  But I really really really appreciate everything my family did for us and am so touched to have such family!  I was so happy to see how everyone welcomed Mr. P into the family.

I'm just looking forward to life together with Mr. P.  It makes me really giddy!

By the way, in the professional photos, my makeup artist was also the hair dresser.  She did a great job, right?  That was 5 layers of hair spray, about 10 layers of double eyelid tape, combined, and 12 hours of photography!  It's crazy, but I would do it again and again and again!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!!!

Thailand Vacation with Mr. P!

Hi Everyone!

Mr. P and I just got back from our travels earlier this week and are trying to get readjusted to our local time.  Any advice, Gummy?  :-)  This will be part of a series of travel posts I'll upload over the next few days.  There are simply too many pictures!

Before we arrived in Taiwan, we flew to Bangkok, Thailand to pay our respects, homage, and thanks to the Four-Faced Buddha at Erawan Shrine.  The total time from leaving our home in Los Angeles to checking into the hotel was over 24 hours.  While there, we also booked tours with Angmo and Air.

So, here are a few picture highlights from our Bangkok trip.

Ayuttaya, ruins with broken Buddhas

Ayuttaya, coconut sugar delicacy

Floating Market, tom yum pork noodles

Near Ayuttaya, Wat Pa-In Portuguese tower
Shopping at MBK

Bangkok McD's, jetlagged and hungry!  Green sauce is a wasabi sauce you can order for 9 baht.

McD's chicken porridge!

McD's tuna pie.  It was salty AND sweet!

We also went to the Railroad Market.  Mr. P was 6 inches from the train as it barreled past.  We have the video for it but I can't upload it directly to my blog without going through YouTube, so I think I'll leave it for now.

Ayuttaya by way of river cruise

Ayuttaya tuk tuks

These pictures are only a handful of many that Mr. P and I took.  I can't upload them all, but I would highly highly recommend a personal visit to Bangkok for all of you.

Our tour guides:

Yaowarak Saithongpatigul (aka Angmo)
email: yaowarak@thaisabailife.com
Notes:  The things that stood out to me about Angmo from last year were her immense knowledge of Thai culture and history, as well as her sense of humor.  I knew she would be the perfect guide to start off Mr. P and my tour in Thailand, and I was right!  I was struck by how prepared she was for every moment of the tour by having fun and informational handouts on the rides to the actual tour locations, being able to contextualize nearly everything we saw, and retaining her sense of humor through everything.  I can honestly say that if you book with Angmo, you will learn new things about Thailand that are not included in traditional tours.  Angmo's tours might be a little high, price-wise, but you'd be getting the whole package.  She covers admission fees, transportation, food, snacks and beverages.  Basically, you don't need to worry about anything, other than souvenirs.  One really impressive thing was that she actually remembered who I was from last year!  You can't have a better person to be your guide than Angmo.  I highly highly recommend your first tour be with Angmo.

Photjaman Reamsan (aka Air)
email: photjaman1978@gmail.com or info@bkktours.com
Notes:  We booked Air's tour to the Floating Market and the Railroad Market.  She covered all our transportation fees and meals.  She's very knowledgeable on practical things, probably what most tourists will ask her about shopping in Bangkok.  She spent a great deal of time teaching us that Bangkok's commerce is based on a system of bargaining.  Sometimes, you can bargain down 60-75% lower than the actual price of things.  Mr. P found his hidden bargaining talent at the Floating Market, so I let him handle all our purchases after that.  :)  The highlight of the Railroad Market is, of course, standing 6 inches away from a train barreling past you and watching all the vendors move there umbrellas, awnings, and wares off the tracks.

Dior Eye Designer - China Airlines Beauty Collection

Hi All!

Mr. P and I just got back from our trip last night but I couldn't wait to blog about this palette!  I also have some pretty exciting news and very special pictures to share, which I will upload separately a little later on.  This post is going to be on the Dior Eye Designer palette.  :-)  When I saw it on the China Airlines Sky Boutique magazine, I just knew I had to have it.  Why?  Because it has parts to groom eyebrows!

When we were in Taiwan, we took some professional photos and had to have hair and makeup done.  After going through that, I realize how amateurish I've been with my makeup, especially brow grooming.  I also believe I need to invest in double eyelid tape now, too!  It's not because I feel any different about having single lidded eyes, but I've seen my own transformation through the "power of makeup" and really wish to be able to recreate the look my makeup artist did.

Anyways, above is the little booklet that came with the palette that shows you ways to put on this makeup.

The looks pulled off with this look end up being smokey eyed.  I can pull the look off with monolids and I can probably do better when I have double eyelids.  The shadows are really long lasting even without primer.  The darkest shade in the shadow trio is a little powdery.  The best way to use that one is to layer it on the outer V.

The eyeliner is in a wax/cream form.  It smudges when you rub it, so it's not waterproof or smudge-proof at all.

The brow wax is just perfect!  I'm trying to recreate the perfect brows Jade (my makeup artist for the photo shoot) did.  My rendition still needs work!  It's pigmented, can be layered on, and the wax helps hold my little brow hairs in place.

The palette and Diorshow Extase mascara comes cutely packaged in this pouch.

Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase.  Haha...  I'm having too many makeup items that I can't get through, but this was the one and only makeup item I bought.

I saw several new comments on previous posts, which were preset to publish at certain times, so I'll start replying to those comments in a little bit.

Stay tuned for the China Airlines Beauty Collection on Skincare!!

XOXO!

Carol

August/Sept. Skincare

Created using Pic Collage. http://pic-collage.com

Hi All!  How are you all doing?

I've lately been feeling a lot more comfortable in my skin and have been going to work without any foundation on my face. I think the money I spent at the spa is worth this new confidence in my skin... I can't afford to go every weekend so will be scaling back my appointments with Tiffany to every other week beginning October.  *sadness*  Why is beauty so expensive?

Anyways, this little collage shows my August and part of September's skincare routine. I'll be switching up some items during my travels.

The first time I blogged about the Clarisonic Mia2 I said that my skin couldn't handle the brush (white brush head) every day. Since then I've replaced the brush with the softest one (baby blue brush head) and am okay to use it every day.

I'll probably blog about the other products later if I haven't already, so stay tuned. OR... Feel free to request an update or a review of any of these products.

Of course, I forgot the picture of that T&J Acne Cream for spot treatment.  But anyways, you get the gist of the rest of my routine, right?

Take care, everyone, and have a great one!

A Piece of History (Tag)

Created using Pic Collage. http://pic-collage.com

Sent from my iPad

Hi All!

Ari from A Passionate Obsession tapped me to post something about the first makeup item that made its way into my hands.  Thanks for the tag, Ari!!  :-)

This is a Maybelline shadow that I'm sure is a brow powder. It's been so long since I saw the actual description for this shadow that I don't remember what it's called.  I depotted this back in 2010 so I can't look up the name, either.

Anyways, the reason I bought this was that I one day realized, at 27, that my eyebrows were really thin and pictures of myself looked like a face with eyes, nose, and a mouth, but no eyebrows!  You know how everyone says that eyebrows frame the face?  Well, I didn't have that frame, so that's why I went out and bought a dark brown brow powder.

And ever since then there has been no looking back!  If there is anything in my makeup drawer that I will not leave the house without it is this brow powder. In fact, I will go out without foundation or anything to cover up my blemishes, but I will always have/make the time to do my brows.

Thanks for reading!

Please keep the tag going.  I tag everyone!  ;D

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio

I don't know why I bought this.  The colors?  The weird shaped packaging?  The craving to spend money?

Other than the pretty colors, I don't like it.  Why?

  1. Creases, even with eyelid primer
  2. Smudges and wipes off with a dry finger
  3. 100% waterproof?  I think not!
  4. Purple eyeliner BROKE when I was swatching it.

Enough said.

If anyone else has this product (doesn't have to be in the Green Eyes colors), please let me know what you think of it.  If you like it, please let me know why and how you make it work for you.  Thanks!
